The department is consisting of two sub department in itself: Oral medicine and Oral radiology.. The associated clinic is spacious, with adequate automatic dental chairs and well controlled standardized sterilization room. All new patients are thoroughly interviewed, clinically examined and appropriately diagnosed for the reason of their visit to the institute.
The department of Oral Radiology is next to Oral Medicine. It consists of intraoral and extraoral radiography room and a dark room. There are two intra oral x-ray machines and one Advanced Digital Panoramic Machine. Rapid delivery of radiographs are ensured by digital print outs of the radiographs and fully automatic daylight processor. The department is also associated with CT imaging center at Anil Baghi Hospital at Ferozepur city.
The undergraduate curriculum has been designed as per the Dental Council of India guidelines. The goal is to develop the student’s knowledge, and ability in wide-ranging patient evaluation, their diagnosis and treatment planning. The department’s undergraduate dental curriculum includes courses in last two years. The curriculum has been integrated with those of the other departments.
